Online guide free for foreigners
Danuri, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family's support site for multi cultural families in Korea now provides a free guide for foreign workers and multi-cultural family assistance services at liveinkorea.kr.
The guide includes information about the service, emergency numbers, service numbers and call centers, including the Danuri call center (1577-1366), which helps immigrant females and multi-cultural families settle down in Korea. The call center service is available 24 hours a day in Korean, English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Khmer, Mongolian, Russian, Japanese, Thai, Lao, Uzbek and Nepali.
"We are making efforts to provide information in various forms in order to help foreigners resolve their difficulties in life," said a spokesperson from the ministry.
