    English Web site ‘convenient’

Event celebrating new Web launch for the month of July

Busan City’s English newspaper Dynamic Busan’s Web site (dynamic.busan.go.kr) has gone through a dramatic change - graphics and images improved and text more easily readable. New functions such as comments writing and SNS accessibility -Twitter, Facebook, me2day- have been improved so readers can share information about the article anytime. The new Web site is available starting July.

First of all, the web design has improved its aesthetics along with its information delivering function. The Web site has changed the font to be larger and bold,

accentuating simplicity and legibility for a better reading experience.

English newspaper Web site now has the function to write comments and also has a mobile Web site accessible by smartphones. The photograph is the new main page of the Web site.

The site also made available new functions like writing comments and responses to articles so readers can now share and interact with the city. Users can now use popular social networking sites to share the English articles at real time.

To look into articles and photographs instantly, search speed has quickened. The site is also compatible with smartphones, so mobile users can access information anytime. For a more international flair, the Japanese and Chinese language newspapers that Busan is publishing are also available on the Web. For a more entertaining outlet to learn more about Busan, there is always www.youtube.com/DynamicBusan and Facebook (facebook.com/DynamicBusan). Celebrating Busan’s new and improved Web site, an event from July 2 to 31 for foreign readers will be held.

To participate in the event, click on the Subscription Banner on the front page of the Web site and sign up for a subscription and leave a congratulatory message in the Community Menu. In the case of previous subscribers, you can just leave a well-wishing message to qualify.

Twenty people will be selected to win a 20,000 won ($17) gift voucher. If selected foreigners reside outside of Korea, 20,000 won worth of Busan souvenir will be provided instead. The winners will be announced on August 6 at the English newspaper web site. Meanwhile, the bi-weekly newspaper was first published on July 15, 2005 just ahead of the Busan APEC Summit Talks, and as of July 1, 2012 it has published its 132nd issue.
