    Global advertisement festival finally here

From Aug. 23 to 25 at BEXCO, 1,474 from 41 countries will compete

The AD STARS 2012 will start on August 23 at the Haeundae Grand Hotel.

This year’s AD STARS 2012 will open until Aug. 25 for three days and a total of 1,474 advertisements from 41 countries will compete for a $10,000 award Grand Prix.

This year a total of 10,431 entries were received from 57 countries. This is a 46 percent increase compared to 7,130 entries from 46 countries last year. This is the largest number of entries ever. Especially the entries from advertisers from around the world including Europe, North America, South America and Africa as well as Asia poured in, proving itself as the Asia’s largest advertisement festival.

The entries that passed the strict preliminary screening by the 146 judges from 44 countries have made it into the final round. These entries are displayed at the BEXCO Convention Hall first floor for free during the festival period. You can see and learn the surprising ideas of each participant and also see the advertisements trends.

The AD STARS will be awarding Grand Prix, Gold, Silver and Bronze medals among the final entries after a final screening by 25 judges from 13 countries.

During the AD STARS period there will be seminars and events as well as contests held under the theme of Digital Humanism, featuring lectures by experts in the advertising industry, including Jonathan Mildenhall the vice president of Coca Cola, and Akira Kagami, creative director of Dentsu, a Tokyo-based advertising agency.
