    Madame Tussauds opened at Shinsegae Centum until March 2013

     

    Visitors to the Madame Tussauds Busan marvel at the likeness of the wax figure to the Hallyu star Bae Yong-joon.  

     

    “At Haeundae Shinsegae Centum City, you can meet world famous figures as Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson and actor Bae Yong-joon in wax figures.”

     

    The Busan City and Shinsegae Department Store opened the Madame Tussauds Busan, world famous wax figure museum on June 28.

     

    Madame Tussauds Busan is on the sixth floor of Haeundae Shinsegae Centum City Department store and there will be 20 wax figures including Korean Hallyu star Bae Yong-joon, U.S. President Barack Obama, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Spider-Man, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Jackie Chan all in life-size. Since they bring out intricate details like muscle definition, according to their pose, teeth made from dentists and real hair from people and accurately measure more than 500 categories of the actual person, the figures take on a close resemblance to the celebrities.

     

    It is famous for its high quality and semblance to the real figures. And as it stands on its own without special equipments or walls, you can take pictures with the wax figure in various poses, imaging various situations. Madame Tussauds is famous for its wax figures of celebrities in the same size and figure as the real celebrity and has 13 museums in world famous tour cities like New York, London, Bangkok and Shanghai.

     

    Madame Tussauds Busan museum staff said, “Each wax figure is made in the traditional way suggested by Madame Tussauds’ founder Marie Tussaud.  The method has been maintained for 200 years based on tradition, not with modern technology and equipment, so we are proud of the high quality in completeness compared to other competing world brands. Since the first wax figure museum is to open in Busan, we hope this will contribute in attracting tourists as well.”

     

    The wax museum is open until March 2013 and the admission is 9,000 won ($7.8).
